Research interests: 

  • Characterisation techniques for silicon materials and solar cells

  • High efficiency solar cells and novel structures

  • Degradation and stability of silicon materials and solar cells

  • Defects and impurities in crystalline silicon

 

Why is your research important? 

We are developing techniques to identify and diagnose malfunctioning solar cells and modules, along with solutions to address them. This is critical for the transition to a solar-powered sustainable world.


Why do you like research?  

I am driven by a curiosity about how things work. Through research, I can find answers to many of the "whys" I ask.


What do you like to do when you are not saving the world?  

Singing, painting, hiking, traveling, working out, drinking coffee and wine, scuba diving, and free diving.
